Kings & Queens 3x3 Tournament
The inaugural Royal Stacks KINGS & QUEENS 3x3 Tournament delivered a huge weekend of basketball at Bentleigh Secondary College, with teams from McKinnon and neighbouring associations taking to the courts across two big days.
A total of 80 teams competed across Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 divisions, with the Boys tournament held on Saturday before the Girls competition took centre stage on Sunday.
Played in the fast paced 3x3 format, the event brought plenty of energy from the opening games through to the Finals, with players embracing the new challenge and creating a great atmosphere around the venue.
A big thank you to Royal Stacks for coming on board as the naming rights partner and helping make the weekend possible. Their support added plenty to the event experience for players and families.
Thank you also to every team, player, coach, team manager and family who was part of the tournament, along with the McKinnon Basketball Association staff and volunteers who helped bring the event together.
Special thanks to our referees, many of whom were officiating 3x3 for the first time. Their willingness to take on a different format and keep the games moving played a huge role in making the weekend such a success.
Congratulations to all division winners and finalists. We hope everyone enjoyed the first Royal Stacks KINGS & QUEENS 3x3 Tournament, with plenty more 3x3 basketball to come at McKinnon
